Hello Mahanay Stars!

I have been teaching in Alief for more than 17 years. I have taught Intermediate and Middle School Choir, and Elementary Music. I am currently the Lead Elementary Teacher for Alief. I am honored to represent such a hardworking group of professionals.

In music, I like to bring fun and excitement to lessons, as well as real life examples. One of my favorite things is watching the faces of my students who are hearing various genres of music for the first time. I hope to help develop my students into blossoming musicians. I love when past students invite me to their concerts so they can show and be proud of what they have learned. My goal is for them to appreciate and understand music enough to want to continue it throughout their education and personal lives.

Hello Stars,

I have been teaching in Alief for more than 15 years. I have taught High School Marketing and Business, Elementary Health Tech, ABL, Special Education, and Art.

I am so excited to be back on the block team! This is my first-year teaching art and I can’t wait to see the creativity in our students. Art is a place where students can explore various ways of expressing themselves. We will walk through the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design. I am hoping our students find art class to be a place to create and have fun!
