My name is Aisha M. Johnson, and I am the principal at Mahanay Elementary School. I have been a proud member of the Alief family for more than 16 years and this is my first year as principal at Mahanay Elementary. Before becoming a principal, I taught Kindergarten, second and third grade and have served as an ELD interventionist, English Language Arts Specialist and Assistant Principal.
I graduated from Sam Houston State University, where I obtained my Bachelors degree in Speech Communication. I also hold a Masters in Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University.
It is my priority to ensure that all students receive quality and equitable instruction in a safe and nurturing environment that fosters high achievement and celebrates success.
